"By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes."

The Tragedy of Macbeth

DECEMBER 04
Hello.  We are taking a break from reading and discussing the play, but not from thinking about it.  You have a task to complete; in order to learn about this task, you can click "Task #1" above, but it won't be as easy as you think. Additional steps need to be taken in order to unlock this task.  It is your job, as a class, to work together and uncover how this task is to be unlocked.

Some things to note:

  • First, you may not use any references (such as websites or dictionaries) to help you.  This includes your phone, so put them in the bin.

  • D will not be available to assist you in any way.  In fact, do not even bother attempting to speak to her; you will be ignored.  If you are hopelessly stuck, she might consider helping you...in about 25 minutes.

  • Be observant...look around you, but DO NOT just blindly wander around the room (the game will end if I see anyone doing that).

  • Work together; share your ideas with the group and let others share their ideas as well.

  • Think!  The answers may not jump out at you and may, in fact, be hidden.  Try to work out the clue to find the answer (these are "riddles" which require thought).

  •  When you believe you have determined the password, click on Task #1 above and enter the password (you do not have unlimited tries, so be thoughtful in your approach and don't guess random words).

  • Have fun!

  • Your quest begins where you find the answers...
